Kim became a Financial Advisor in 1996 after working as the General Manager of a local television station – it was there she was inspired to help others pursue their financial goals.  She realized that she and her husband were missing a cohesive wealth management plan and lacked the time to handle the details of their investment portfolio.  She discovered that others were also lacking a professional to help them manage all their financial needs, and she knew there was an opportunity to help.

In 2017, Kim went from being a solo financial advisor to forming a partnership.  That partnership is a large part of the team’s commitment to high-touch service and consistency.  Today, the team spans multiple decades, which provides the structure to care for you and your family members across generations.  As the leader of her experienced and professional team, Kim’s role is to oversee the creation and the periodic review of your portfolio and overall wealth strategies with you, as well as analyze and develop estate planning strategies.  The team’s goal is to uncover and focus on your needs and ultimately provide you more time to do the things you most enjoy in life.  This results in thoughtful and clear strategies for developing an understandable and well-disciplined, long-term plan.

Kim is a firm believer in Sioux City community.  She currently serves as a trustee for the University of South Dakota Foundation, a member of the United Way’s Women United, and an active member of the Siouxland Estate Planning Council.  She has enjoyed being a regular contributor to the financial reports in the media.  Over the years, she has had the pleasure of serving on the board of directors of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Siouxland, Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, Leeds-Hawthorne PTA, Mid-Step Services, Alpha Xi Delta Alumnae – Sioux City Chapter, Women’s Association of Financial Consultants, The University of South Dakota Alumni Association, Sioux City Community Schools Foundation, Wesley United Methodist Church, Siouxland Estate Planning Council, Mercy Alliance for Women’s Health, Mercy Health Foundation, and Siouxland Professional Women’s Network.  She has also volunteered for the United Way, Junior Achievement, Midwest Volleyball Power Club, the Sioux City Chamber of Commerce, and Boy Scouts.

Kim grew up in Southern California and Vermillion, South Dakota.  She earned a degree in Business Management from the University of South Dakota.  Kim and her husband, Kal, have two grown children, Korey, her partner on the team, and Kamryn, a registered nurse, and three amazing grandchildren.  When she is not working with clients, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, biking, walking, golfing, and traveling.
